Lead Paint

Wildfires
Daniel M. Bruun

Today I'd like to share some information with you about lead paint. If you occupy a building built before 1978, chances that there is lead paint on the walls. Determining if it is lead paint is the first step. At 1Source, experienced Lead Surveyor and Risk Assessors will conduct a survey and guide you through the process of the removal of the paint. Below are a few articles that I think will be of use to you.

Please feel free to e-mail me and we can set aside some time to discuss how we can assist you with Lead Paint removal at your company.

Sincerely,
Daniel M. Bruun, CIH, Vice President – Asbestos, Lead and Construction Safety

Workers today are still being exposed to lead that result in adverse health effects. Recent studies have provided evidence that lead can cause health effects at blood lead levels lower than those established by OSHA’s 1978 Lead standard. Epidemiological and experimental studies indicate that chronic exposure resulting in blood lead levels (BLL) as low as 10 µg/dL in adults are associated with serious medical problems.
